Ukraine ready to transit Iranian oil and gas to Europe
He made the remarks to the meeting of Iran-Ukraine Joint Economic Commission in Tehran.
The Iranian and Ukrainian officials signed a document on economic cooperation in the course of the Commission.
Demchishin said that Ukraine boasts major oil and gas companies involved in transfer of oil and gas to other countries.
He said that Kiev is ready to cooperate with Tehran on constructing oil refineries and oil and gas transfer equipment.
Ukraine trades some 7 million barrels of oil and oil products as well as 20 billion cubic meters of gas every year, the minister said.
Iran is considered a key economic partner of Ukraine as trade between the two countries grew significantly between 2010 and 2012.
Iran accounts for 0.6% of the Ukrainian imports in 2013 to become the country's 22nd trade partner.
