Online E-Banking Services

  • Internal fund transfer between own accounts or to other customers’ accounts with Middle East Bank (single or batch)
  • Standing transfer (scheduled fund transfer) and the ability to review payment status
  • Interbank PAYA (ACH) transfers (single or batch)
  • Combined batch payments and file upload with a separate tracking number for each transaction
  • Ability to conduct interbank transactions using a Payment ID
  • Inquiry of account number and IBAN before or during a transaction
  • Card‑to‑card transfer to all Shetab member cards
  • Payment of all utility bills that have a Bill ID and Payment ID, including telecommunications, mobile phone, traffic fines, water and wastewater, electricity, gas, and municipal bills nationwide

Notes:

  • To initiate corporate transactions using e-banking services, legal persons should introduce their makers by visiting a branch.
  • Using e-banking to transfer money must be initiated by makers.
  • Money transfer is finalized after meeting minimum signatures of withdraw conditions.
  • To add control layers, legal persons may introduce supermakers. The supermaker(s) control transaction after initiation of transaction by makers. If they approve transaction, it will be sent for signatories to approve transaction in order to meet withdraw conditions.

Inter-bank Fund Transfer (Satna (RTGS)/ Paya (ACH)/ POL (Instant Inter-Bank Transfer) order)

  • To conduct Satna/ Paya/ POL orders, IBAN (Sheba) no is mandatory.
  • Inter-bank transfer orders are not limited to geographical location and they are delivered at the same speed on due date.
  • The issued payment order is non-refundable and the bank is obliged to transfer money to beneficiary bank and requested account (sheba) number.
Paya (Automated Clearing House)

Using Paya electronic systems, you may transfer money to other bank accounts. Paya system facilitates micro-payments for large number of customers. Customers may conduct their transfer order to other banks.

Consider following notes while conducting Paya orders:

  • Paya transaction amount should be between 1 Rial up to 2 billion Rials.
  • There are four Paya cycles at working days including 03:45, 10:54, 13:45 and 18:45. On weekends or holidays the orders are processed at 13:45 and will be sent to destination banks.
  • On weekdays, Settlement of card transactions (Shaparak) via Paya system is only sent in on cycle, 03:45 AM.
  • On weekends or holidays, Settlement of card transactions (Shaparak) via Paya system is sent at 13:45 AM.
  • Transfer of Paya system for settlement of card transactions (Shaparak) is done in form of aggregation of previous day’s transaction amounts.
Satna (Real Time Gross Settlement)

Satna (RTGS) system, facilitates macro payment on banking network of the country. By entering required information such as destination IBAN (Sheba), transaction amount and so on, customers of Middle East Bank may conduct Satna (RTGS) orders. Satna orders are processed on working day and office hours. In case effective date coincides a holiday, the transfer order will be carried out in the first working day after holiday.

Consider following notes while conducting Satna orders:

  • Transaction amount for Satna orders should be at least 1 billion Rials.
  • Satna transfer orders can be done on working days at office hours, 08:00 until 13:00.
  • Satna transactions are not available on holidays.
POL (Instant Inter-Bank Transfer)

Pol System (Instant Inter-Bank Transfer) is set up to transfer small amounts of funds in the nation-wide banking network 24/7, 365 days a year, based on account/Sheba number. The fee for Instant transfers through this system is less than the other real-time transfer methods (card-to-card).

Consider following notes while utilizing POL System
  • The system allows transfer money up to 1 billion Rials to destination accounts with the banks linked to POL system (using account or Sheba numbers),
  • The customer must provide the destination account/Sheba number,
  • Electronic transfers via POL system, for the orders placed by customers, can be made 24/7 using our e-banking services including Internet banking and Mobile banking.
  • Fund transfer charges through POL system is less than the card-to-card transfer fee.
