Mobile Banking

Mobile Banking as one of electronic banking products offered by Middle East Bank enables customer to conduct various financial transactions and other non-financial banking operations, using smart phones, with no time constraint. Our Mobile Banking offers following services to dear customers:

  • View active account(s) statement and available funds
  • View financial transactions over 12- month period, shown on charts
  • View and copy account information (opening date, name and code of opening branch, IBAN (SHEBA) number)
  • View all the branches and Middle East Bank ATMs location
  • Mobile Banking application is available both in English and Persian
  • When enabling the dynamic password (for card-to-card transaction), the dynamic password application (MEB OTP) can be, automatically, called during Card-to-Card transactions
  • Monitor and repayment of facility
  • Monitor Credit Card bills and repayment of them
  • Monitor transactions status of the company accounts, approved/rejected by authorized signatories
  • View the status and details of your Middle East Bank checkbooks (cashed, unused, etc.)
  • Monitor the checks and their status view all checks deposited to your accounts
  • Add details such as amount, date and recipient to your Middle East Bank checks
  • Sayad services: all services required to issue, receive, transfer and inquire the status of new checks in accordance with the new Check Issuance Law and CBI regulations
  • Transfer funds through SHETAB (Interbank Information Transfer Network) or non-SHETAB card-to-card transfer, with the option to save or delete the recipients card number
  • Inter-bank fund transfer, RTGS ,ACH or POL payments using IBAN (SHEBA No.)
  • Transfer money into customers own accounts or others in Middle East Bank with the option to save or delete the recipients account number
  • Possibility to pay bills across the country (ATM barcode scanner available)
  • Repayment of credit card debts
  • Confirm transactions, initiated by makers, personal accountants or joint holders of account at Internet Banking, by the authorized signatories for legal customers, individual customers joint accounts or personal finance management
  • Possibility for Super Maker to control funds transfers (initiated by Makers at the Internet Banking) through mobile banking
  • Possible to leave notes on transactions
  • Possible to add details, description, on internal transaction(s)
  • Possibility to add the details on inter-bank transactions, to be viewed in the source account
  • Possible to reprint and share receipt of all transactions done in Mobile Banking
  • Possible to save all receipts in a separate folder in a Gallery, under the name of Middle East Bank, if activated
  • Possible to save the Source Card Verification Value (CVV2) and its expiry date
  • Management of all cards (disable-change second password, block the card)
  • Manage beneficiaries
  • Account(s) management option
  • Possible to change login password, transaction password
  • Authentication using biometrics (fingerprint-face recognition) for logging into application, transaction password and the cards second password
  • View everyday foreign exchange rates
  • Activate Apple Watch to view notifications or Approve pending transactions
  • Electronic Check Services
  • Management of Proxy Accounts
  • Ability to Edit Sejam-Registered IBAN
  • Ability to Send Occasion-Specific Receipts

Notes on using Mobile Bank

Registration and Login Password
  • To register and activate your Mobile Banking account, you are required to have username and password of Internet Banking account. You should get them by visiting a branch of Middle East Bank.
  • After first login to Mobile Banking, you should change your mobile banking login password.
  • If you have forgotten your password to mobile banking, you should re-register on your mobile banking account. Do not forget that to register on mobile banking you need your username and password of Internet Banking.
  • If you enter wrong password 5 times in a row, you should re-register on mobile banking.
Transaction Password
  • To conduct transactions (except card-to-card transaction) you need to enter transaction password which is same on Internet Banking and Mobile Banking.
  • If you do not have transaction password, using settings menu you may define it.
  • Since transaction password is same on Internet Banking and Mobile Banking, changing in one of them affects the other.
  • If you have forgotten your transaction password, you may visit a branch to reset your password.
Card PIN-2 (Dynamic- Static)
  • Card PIN2 is required for card-to-card transactions on Mobile banking and is available via SMS and MEB OTP app.
  • Using dynamic card PIN2 for amounts upper than 1.000.000 Rials is necessary.
  • To have a better user experience, you may have access to MEB OTP application inside your mobile banking and get PIN2 for your card-to-card transaction (To activate your MEB OTP application you may visit a branch or activate it via Internet Banking).

Mobile Banking for Legal Entities

  • Mobile banking users who are signatories of companies, may approve/ reject transactions on their mobile banking.
  • Approving open banking transactions is also available on mobile banking of Middle East Bank.

How to Enable Mobile Banking Application

To enable the Mobile Banking application, you should have already received the Internet banking Username and Password from the MEB branches. Having received the Mobile banking application, as described above, follow these steps:

  • Enter the Internet banking username and password
  • Enter the displayed security code, which appears in writing but needs to be entered in numbers
  • Create your desired application password
  • After completion of the above steps, an enabling password is sent to the mobile number, which you have already given to the bank. Entering this password makes the mobile banking application ready for use.

How to receive Mobile Banking Application Directly for iOS

There is the possibility of direct download for iOS mobile banking application from middle east bank website.

Having installed mobile banking application Directly for iOS device, follow these steps:

* Considering security issues, mobile application for iOS platform is only available inside Iran. To download the iOS app directly from the Middle East bank website please disconnect all VPN connections on your mobile device.
