Financial Ability Certificate

Financial Ability Certificate is an official and valid document, issued by the bank and submitted to the client, to certify the amount of the client’s bank account balance, for the embassies, universities and other domestic or foreign entities and authorities.

The certificate can be issued in English as well as Persian upon the clients in person request. clients can also request account statements for specific time periods in English or Persian.

Required Documents to obtain the financial ability certificate

  • Client’s national ID card,
  • Client’s passport or its photocopy,
  • Original power of attorney of the legal representative, if power is ,granted over an agent,
  • Completed Application form for Issuance of Financial Ability Certificate
  • It is possible to request an English account statement and transaction history bearing the authorized signature and stamp through Middle East Bank branches.

Terms and Conditions for obtaining a Financial Ability Certificate.

  • For individual clients, the Certificate is issued for current, short-term and long-term savings accounts, single and joint accounts without mentioning the Corporate accounts in which the person is a signatory,
  • For Legal Entities, the certificate is issued for all accounts such as the current, short-term and long-term savings accounts,
  • The certificate can be issued and presented to the clients by all bank branches in Tehran and other cities,
  • After submission of the application, the bank issues the certificate and presents it to the client on the same day,
  • By visiting Financial Ability Inquiry System web page and entering the Verification Code and Slip Number, authenticity of the certificate can be verified.

The Financial Ability Certificate contains

  • Sheba number,
  • Type of currency,
  • Partner’s share,
  • Account balance as of the previous day.

In addition to the above, the following items can be added to the certificate at the clients request:

  • Turnover of amounts credited to the account (one-month, three-month, six-month, twelve-month),
  • Address,
  • Account opening date,
  • Account type,
  • Terms of withdrawal (only for individual clients).
