The value of non-oil trade between Iran and the United Arab Emirates reached $17 billion in 2014, making Iran Dubai’s fourth trading partner, according to sources at the UAE Ministry of Finance.
Trade experts in Dubai believe the lifting of western sanctions imposed against Iran over its nuclear energy program will have a positive impact on the state of economic ties between the two countries. The subject was discussed during a conference on investment opportunities in Iran’s free trade zones in Dubai on June 13.
