Large Italian delegation due in Iran (27 November 2015)


 A large Italian delegation, comprising of 178 companies, 20 societies and 12 banking groups, are to carry out the countrys biggest economic mission to Iran, it was announced on Friday.



The 370-member delegates will arrive Tehran on Saturday to study grounds and conduct feasibility studies on broadening economic cooperation between the two countries.



The Italian delegation will meet with their Iranian counterparts during their three day stay in Tehran and will depart on Monday. 



The Italian delegation will prepare grounds after signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to increase volume of bilateral trade exchange, which stood at over seven billion euros before the imposition of more stringent economic sanctions in 2012.



The current volume of trade exchange between Iran and Italy stands at 1.6 billion euros.



The Italian economic delegation will focus on key sectors like energy, environment, renewable energy, mechanic, medical equipment, construction, auto production and industrial machineries.
