Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran has good potentials for joint venture investment.
The president made the remarks in a meeting with outgoing Iranian Ambassador to Belgrade Majid Fahimpour.
Fahimpour expressed the hope that trade between the two countries would reach the level of the former Yugoslavia.
The two countries did their best to broaden mutual cooperation in various economic and commercial fields, he said.
He thanked the Serbian president for his efforts during his tenure to help enhance level of mutual cooperation.
Serbian president for his part said Iran has good capacity for investment and mutual cooperation will be beneficial for both sides.
Iran and Serbia have had good cooperation in economy, agriculture and tourism over the past three years.
