The meeting was held with participation of Irans Ambassador to Baku Mohsen Pakaein and Chairman of Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly Asif Talibov.
The two sides should use capacities more to expand bilateral relations in all fields, said Pakaein in the meeting.
Positive developments in the Nakhchivan ties with Iran are due to growing relations between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic, said Pakaein.
Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is part of Azerbaijan Republic. As Iran attaches importance to its ties with Nakhchivan, it has appointed a diplomat as Irans consul general in that region to follow deepening of bilateral cooperation, said Pakaein.
Also, Talibov said relations between Nakhchivan and its neighboring Iranian provinces play effective role in positive bonds between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic.
Cooperation between Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan and Iran will benefit the region, said the official.
