Iran, Finland sign four MoUs (26 October 2016)

Iran and Finland inked four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to cooperate in energy, communication, technology, environment and investment sectors.


The documents were inked in the presence of President Hassan Rouhani and his Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinistö at Saadabad Cultural Complex in northern Tehran.


The MoU on bilateral energy cooperation was signed by Irans Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian and Finnish Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Kai Mykkänen while the document on communication and technology cooperation was inked by Irans Minister of Communication Mahmoud Vaezi and Kai Mykkänen.


The third MoU on natural resources and forest management cooperation was signed by Head of Forest Range and Watershed Management Organization Khodakaram Jalali and Kai Mykkänen.


The Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran and Finlands official Export Credit Agency signed the fourth MoU. 


The President of Finland arrived in Tehran on October 25 heading a politico-economic delegation.


He is in Tehran at the official invitation of President Rouhani.
