Iran, Exim Bank of China sign MoU (16 August 2016)

Iran and China inked an MoU aiming at providing the conditions for financing economic and infrastructural projects and expanding bilateral cooperation.


The MoU was sealed on the sidelines of 16th meeting of the Joint Economic Commission between the Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Mohammad Khazaei and the Deputy of The Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank) Sun Ping.


The MoU includes road, ports, transportation, plant, telecommunications, industrial parks, oil and gas, healthcare sector, agriculture and tourism plans.


Low-interest preferential loans with long-term payback periods have been envisaged in the memorandum. 


16th meeting of the Joint Economic Commission between Iran and China is scheduled to be held in the presence of Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayebnia and head of the Iranian side in the joint commission on Tuesday evening.
