Managing Director of Pars Oil and Gas Company Ali-Akbar Shabanpour said on Sunday that an Indian delegation will hold talks on financial scheme of investment in the offshore Farzad B gasfield in Tehran this weekend.
Shabanpour said the talks are expected to be finalized by September.
He said that if the project for development of offshore Farzad B is implemented, Indians will be active in the upstream sector of Iranian oil industry.
Farzad-B gas field is estimated to possess 21,68 trillion cubic feet in-situ gas reserve and 12.8 trillion cubic feet natural gas and 212 million barrels gas condensates.
A consortium, led by ONGC Videsh of India, discovered Farzad B gas field in Farsi offshore bloc in Persian Gulf in 2008.
