French company expresses readiness to invest in Semnan plaster industry (9 March 2016)
In a meeting with Head of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture of Semnan province Ali Asghar Joma'ei, Bashare said we are here to consider the situation of plaster mines and way to invest here.
He said that Saint Gobain Company is ready for investment in plaster industry here in case of readiness of infrastructures like water, electricity, permissions for activities.
Ammar Bashare expressed hope that in post-sanction era, Saint Gobain Company could have more cooperation with Iranian Industries.
Concerning historical background of the company, Bashare said that it has been founded 350 years ago to produce glasses and it has now many branches in different countries with 190,000 employees.
Joma'ei said that around 40 plaster producer companies are active in Semnan province and added that plaster here has the best quality and high reserve.
He underlined that the foreign investors should bring modern technology into Iran. Joma'ei also announced readiness of a number of investors from Turkey and Germany in this industry and added that the province has readiness for 100 percent foreign investment or joint venture participation.
