Dutch firms ready for joint venture investments with Iranian partners (10 May 2016)
Dutch Minister for Economic Affairs Henk Kamp said on Monday that the Dutch companies are willing to develop joint venture investments with Iranian partners.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Governor General of Fars Province Seyyed Mohammad Ahmadi.
Today, agreements for cooperation between Iran and the Netherlands are in place and we hope the cooperation will continue.
Kamp expressed pleasure with cooperation with Iran on agriculture.
He referred to his countrys potential in agriculture and said the Netherlands possesses fertile farm lands and is among the exporting countries of agricultural products.
The minister said for a kilo of tomato in Dutch greenhouses four liters of water is spent while the other countries spend 50 liters water for one kilo tomato.
He said that the visit to Iran provided an opportunity to get acquainted with business and gain experience and in turn Iranian traders will find the chance to visit the Netherlands. He said that for the same reason, Dutch officials are in Iran and Fars Province and cooperation and presence will proceed as well.
