Bank Announces Capital Increase

Middle East Bank shareholders unanimously approved raising the Bank's capital from IRR 120 trillion to IRR 200 trillion at its Extraordinary General Assembly on October 19, 2026. Funded through retained earnings, the increase represents a 67% rise in the Bank's capital in just one year.

The capital increase aims to strengthen the Bank's capital adequacy ratio, expand its operational capacity, increase revenues and lending, support domestic production, and create greater value for shareholders.

Shareholders representing more than 69% of the Bank's shares attended the assembly, held at its Bucharest Building, with online participation also available. Before the vote, the assembly reviewed the authorizations issued by the Central Bank of Iran and the Securities and Exchange Organization, along with a report from the independent auditor and statutory inspector.

Earlier, at the Bank's Ordinary General Assembly on July 22, 2026, shareholders representing more than 83% of its shares approved a cash dividend of IRR 166 per share and allocated IRR 250 billion to humanitarian initiatives as part of the Bank's corporate social responsibility activities.
