Austria keen to invest in Irans tourism sector: Envoy (11 May 2016)

Ilam, May 10, IRNA – Austria is keen to invest in Irans tourism sector, Austrian Ambassador to Iran Friedrich Stift said on Tuesday.

Stift made the remarks during his visit to the historical city of Seymareh in western Province of Ilam.

 

Promoting cooperation on archeological excavations as well as tourism are good grounds to further bilateral ties between Tehran and Vienna, the Austrian envoy said. 

 

Referring to tourisms high potentiality in Iran and Austria, he said that tourism plays a significant role in Austrias economy an that Iran, too, could capitalize on its rich cultural heritage and beautiful nature to expand its tourism industry.

 

Stift also said that his country is ready to establish tourism schools in Iran.

 

Iran and Austria are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding on tourism, he added. 

 

The Austrian envoy arrived in Ilam province on Monday to examine ways to boost ties between Tehran and Vienna.
