Montenegro ready for economic-commercial co-op with Iran (2 March 2016)

Speaking in a meeting with Irans accredited ambassador to Podgorica, Deputy Head of Montenegro Chamber of Commerce focused on his countrys interest to cooperate with Iran to develop economic-trade cooperation.


Ivan Saviliović and Majid Fahim Poor in a meeting on Tuesday negotiated on the prospect of cooperation and the ways to expand cooperation in post-sanction era.


Saviliović acquainted Iranian ambassador with Montenegros economy and the role of the Chamber of Commerce in boosting cooperation especially Montenegros economic and trade cooperation with foreign partners.


Referring to the establishment of Montenegros Chamber of Commerce in 1928 and the expansion of ties between Iran and EU in post-sanction era, he said that EU membership is Montenegros priority causing Montenegro to follow EU roles.


Irans non-resident Ambassador to Montenegro also acquainted his host about post-sanction developments and Iranian presidents trip to Italy and France and foreign officials to Iran to develop bilateral ties.


He also raised trilateral cooperation plan among Iran, Montenegro and Serbia.


Fahim Poor added that Iran and Montenegro are capable of having profitable energy cooperation. 


Both sides emphasized on the facilities related to economic delegations trips held by the Chamber of Commerce.


Signing cultural, tourism, energy MoUs to boost bilateral cooperation were regarded as important by both sides.


Montenegros Chamber of Commerce is the member of Europe, Mediterranean, Adriatic Sea, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Balkan.
