Iran, Pakistan Opt for Broadening of Economic Ties (15 October 2017)

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi and Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani in a meeting in Tehran on Sunday underlined the need for the further expansion of bilateral fields, specially in trade and economic fields.


During the meeting held in the Iranian capital today, Sarmadi and Hameed Khan Durrani explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating mutual cooperation in trade and economic fields.


Durrani and Sarmadi discussed border security, visa regime, export of natural gas and electricity as well as establishment of Quetta-Zahedan direct flight line.


They also exchanged views on the development of economic cooperation and removal of obstacles hindering banking cooperation.


Durrani, heading a 14-member delegation of Provincial Assembly of Baluchistan arrived in Iran last Tuesday and met with several Iranian officials, including Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
