Ground is ready for Iran and Algeria to enhance their cooperation, Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said on Monday.
Zangeneh made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Algerian Minister of Industry and Mining Abdessalam Bouchouareb.
Tehran and Algiers passed difficult days of oil prices decline and they have always adopted similar positions in all crises and supported each other, he said.
He added that the visit by First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri to Algeria and the presence of Algerian prime minister at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Tehran strengthened the two states bilateral ties.
Zangeneh expressed hope for furthering of economic ties between Iran and Algeria, saying that there is political will in both countries to achieve this end.
