Head of Irans National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Abbas Shari-Moqaddam said Germany would be the first investor for Iranian petrochemical industry.
He referred to talks with Germany, Japan, Spain and Italy and said, “The companies have been waiting for finalization of the JCPOA and setting price for natural gas feed for petrochemical complexes. They were serious in talks,” he said.
Shari-Moqaddam further said, “We are waiting to start final talks as the two issues came true.”
He said that the two German companies’ estimation showed that 8.4 billion euro is needed for German investment in Iran’s petrochemistry.
This amount of investment has not been finalized and they can calculate the exact amount of investment after economic studies and planning.
He said that the two German companies would make investment in Asaluyeh, a city in and the capital of Asaluyeh County, in case the required land is provided.
