Envoy stresses importance of Tehran-Belgrade agro cooperation (14 May 2016)
Iranian ambassador to Serbia underlined that cooperation in the agricultural field is one of the priorities for economic cooperation between Iran and Serbia. Cooperation between Iran and Serbia.
“Cooperation in the agriculture field will serve as the supplement of other needs in other areas,” Majid Fahimpour said on Friday.
He said that the two countries have had cooperation since former-Yugoslavia and now it is continuing at a faster pace.
Iran and Serbia have started developing their bilateral relations and mutual cooperation in a number of fields.
In a relevant development in August, Fahimpour and Serbian Minister of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić signed a 1.3- million-dollar agreement on supplying railway parts.
Signing of the contract on procurement of bogie parts proves mutual will of officials in Iran and Serbia to improve relations in economic areas, as well as cultural and tourism fields, Fahimpour said in the signing ceremony of the contract.
Ljajić, for his part, said that Serbia is ready to raise the level of cooperation with Iran in car manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, construction, and trade.
