Banking, business forum kicks off in Tehran (29 April 2017)

The Fourth Banking and Business Forum Iran and Europe started work on Saturday in IRIB International Conference Center, Tehran.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the event, President of Monetary and Banking Research Institute Ali Divandarri said different issues such as launching Iranian banks in Europe, future of paying industry and maintaining international standards are among topics to be discussed during the event.
Divandarri pointed to Europe as Iran’s second trade partner after Asia, expressing hope for the forum to facilitate trade and banking atmosphere.
He referred to maintaining international regulations and rules on fighting money laundering as pre-requisites of resuming ties between Iranian banking network and international systems.
Head of Banking Forum in Frankfurt Nader Maleki also addressed the meeting saying when US Department of the Treasury confirmed that Iran has been committed to
JCPOA, the world was convinced to give the opportunity to Iran to join world economy.
The event is held twice every year, one hosted by Iran and the other by Germany.
