Tehran-Seoul Non-Oil Trade Tops $8b (16 April 2018)

Iran’s non-oil trade with South Korea in the last fiscal year (ended March 20) stood at $8.09 billion, registering an increase of 27.77% compared to the year before. South Korea was Iran’s third biggest trading partner after China and the UAE, data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration indicate. Iran exported 10.06 million tons of commodities worth $4.38 billion to South Korea during the period, up 52.39% and 52.25% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. The exported commodities mainly include gas condensates, low density oil, anti-lock braking system and isoprene. South Korea exported 1.49 million tons of goods worth $3.71 billion to Iran, registering a decrease of 0.76% in tonnage and a rise of 7.43% in value YOY. Auto parts, LCD and LED display modules and steel products were the main commodities imported by Iran from South Korea last year.
